1. Shared Shuttle & Passenger Responsibilities
1.1 Scheduled Departure & Passenger Arrival Responsibility
Our Shared Shuttle Service operates strictly on a fixed schedule. Passengers must understand that this is a low-cost, budget-friendly transportation service, and therefore the shuttle cannot wait for late passengers under any circumstances.
Passengers are required to:
- Arrive at their assigned pickup location at least 20 minutes before the scheduled pickup time.
- Ensure they are fully ready with luggage and prepared to board upon arrival of the shuttle.
Because shared shuttle services involve:
- Multiple passengers
- Multiple pickup and drop-off stops
- Heavy traffic and unexpected road delays
Passengers must avoid tight travel schedules and always plan with extra buffer time. Galveston Houston Shuttle reserves the right to adjust departure times if necessary due to operational or traffic conditions. Passengers must plan their travel accordingly.
1.2 Early Arrivals Require Private Shuttle
Passengers arriving before 1:00 PM must book a Private Shuttle. Shared Shuttle service is not recommended or suitable for early arrivals. Likewise, cruise passengers departing the cruise port before 1:00 PM must also book a Private Shuttle to avoid the risk of missing their departure.
1.3 No Responsibility for Missed Flights or Cruises
Galveston Houston Shuttle is not responsible if:
- A passenger misses their cruise
- A passenger misses their flight
- A passenger experiences travel delays
Passengers are solely responsible for:
- Planning sufficient travel buffer time
- Booking the correct shuttle type based on their schedule
If a passenger arrives late and misses the shuttle, the shuttle will depart without waiting.
1.4 Shared Shuttle is Non-Refundable
Shared Shuttle bookings are strictly non-refundable if the passenger misses the shuttle for any reason, including but not limited to:
- Late arrival to pickup location
- Flight delays or cancellations
- Traffic delays
- Personal scheduling issues
Passengers must arrange alternative transportation at their own expense if they miss the shuttle. Galveston Houston Shuttle is not responsible for arranging replacement transportation.
1.5 Flight Delays & Passenger Communication
If a flight is delayed, cancelled, or rescheduled, passengers must immediately contact Galveston Houston Shuttle.
Important notes:
- We do NOT track flights for shared shuttle passengers.
- We do NOT monitor passenger arrival times.
- It is the passenger’s responsibility to track their flight and manage their booking.
- Because this is a budget service, airport assistance or escort services are not included. Passengers must make their own way to the pickup point.
While we always try to accommodate customers when possible, accommodation is not guaranteed.
1.6 Group Seating & Vehicle Allocation
Shared shuttle passengers must understand:
- We do not guarantee that families or groups will travel in the same vehicle.
- Groups may be split across multiple vans, SUVs, or shuttle vehicles.
- Vehicle assignment depends on real-time availability and operational logistics.
Passengers are requested to cooperate with drivers and staff during vehicle allocation.

5. Late Arrivals and Waiting Time (Private Transfers)
5.1 For airport pickups, our drivers actively track flight arrival times and offer a complimentary waiting period of up to 60 minutes from the actual time of arrival.
5.2 For pickups at cruise terminals, private residences, and hotels, a grace period of up to 20 minutes from the scheduled pickup time will be provided.
5.3 Any waiting time exceeding the complimentary allowance is contingent on driver availability and will incur additional fees. Standard waiting charges begin at $60 per additional hour, while rates for minibuses and coach buses start at $180 per hour.
6. Late Arrivals and Waiting Time (Shared Shuttle)
6.1 Scheduled pickup times for shared shuttle services are fixed according to our timetable. Passengers must be present at the designated pickup location at least 15 minutes prior to their assigned departure time. Due to the shared nature of the service, the shuttle will not wait for late passengers beyond a 10-minute grace period.
6.2 Shuttle routes are designed to serve multiple passengers and include several stops. Delays may occur due to traffic conditions or other operational factors. Houston Galveston Shuttle reserves the right to adjust departure times as needed. Passengers are advised to plan their travel accordingly. For customers with return flights departing at or before 1:00 PM, a private shuttle from the cruise port is required. Houston Galveston Shuttle is not liable for missed flights under any circumstances.
6.3 If a passenger misses their scheduled shuttle from the airport due to a delayed arrival, the shuttle will proceed as scheduled. Passengers must reschedule for the next available shuttle, subject to availability. No refunds will be issued for missed shuttle departures.
6.4 Missed Pickup from Galveston Port: In the event of a missed pickup from the Galveston Port, passengers may need to arrange alternative transportation at their own expense.
6.5 Passengers are responsible for monitoring their own flight status. In cases of flight delays or cancellations, it is the passenger’s duty to promptly notify Houston Galveston Shuttle. Flight tracking is not provided for shared shuttle bookings. While we will make every effort to accommodate changes, availability cannot be guaranteed.
7. Extra Luggage Policy
7.1 To maintain a smooth and comfortable experience for all travelers, we kindly ask that you notify us in advance if you plan to bring additional luggage beyond the standard allowance.
7.2 If, at the time of pickup, you present more luggage than permitted, a fee of $20 will apply for each extra item.
7.3 Please note that excess baggage may necessitate an upgrade to a larger vehicle, which is subject to availability and will incur an additional charge.
7.4 In cases where we are unable to accommodate the extra luggage due to space limitations or lack of vehicle availability, the reservation will be forfeited without a refund.
